The Burger King
Dating App

Do these Burger King Flyers look familiar to you?

They form an important part of Burger King's marketing strategy. Burger King was looking for a way to connect with their skeptical 18-24 year old audiences who rarely consume traditional print media. The task posed by Burger King was to create an e coupon app that their target audience would want to use.

The idea was to create a 'Dating App' that connects BK customers to sweet deals instead of other people. Each profile you come across on this app is a delightful coupon that comes with it’s own biography.

Here is an Adobe XD Mockup of how the app will function for the users.

Customers can customise their own profile. Each user will have their own personalised QR codes for coupon redemption and identification at BK outlets.

I also decided to go one step further to further elaborate the 'Dating' aspect of the app. Enter the one-for-one $1 BK deal. Users of the app will be lured by the low price of the deal to click on the coupon. The BK app will then tell them that have matched with someone and will need to claim this deal together at a BK outlet.

In the first few weeks of the campaign, the app can be publicised on OOH media spaces, youtube ads showing how the app works as well as promoting the 1 for 1 dating deal to generate interest for the new users of the app.
